Charles Winterhalder
Charles works as a Director for a leading Digital Media Agency based in the South East of England. With a passion for motorsport, he enjoys spending as much of his time as possible out on the race track.
Having attended his first Grand Prix at the age of 4, Charles was to follow the motor racing scene avidly before beginning his own motorsport career competing in the Buckmore Park karting endurance series.
His move into cars initially saw him competing in the highly competitive Porsche 924 Championship, where he soon established himself as one of the top drivers. Charles moved to the Porsche Open Series in 2004 competing in a 944 in Class 4. His first season proved to be enthralling while also allowing Charles to guest in several rounds of the Uniroyal Team Challenge, including the gruelling 25-hour race at Spa Francorchamps.
Three successful seasons in the Porsche Open Series culminated in Charles' near domination of the Porsche 944 Class in 2006. An impressive set of statistics, which boasted 6 race wins, 2 second places, 6 pole positions and 4 fastest laps, earned Charles the much coveted '911 & Porsche World' magazine '944 Driver of the Year' award.
The 2007 season saw Charles switch to the Porsche Club Championship where he campaigned his 944 in Class 3. Two class wins, six second places, and three thirds earned Charles third in Class, and seventh overall in the final championship standings.
2008 saw Charles competing in a more powerful 944 in Class 2 of the Championship. He proved to be a consistent podium finisher and will prove to be a formidable force in 2010.
